Kim Kardashian is in Paris this week for her wedding next week, I’m excited for her! Hopefully this one’s a keeper! She was spotted with a denim on denim ensemble that I remixed adding some African flare with the ankara print clutch and bracelets from Maasai market, it is not the first time I have won this denim top, I absolutely love it, especially the lace back, I can’t remember where I got it from, but I didn’t pay much for it. Jeans are from Lanebryant.com and I’m debuting a new lippie from busucosmetics.com (under construction).

Happy Feet
We had some crazy weather here in Maryland last week, 12 inches of snow is what Nature decided to bless us with, umm blessing… not so much! But it is pretty when untouched but, Summer can’t get here fast enough!
To protect my feet from the harsh conditions I wore a pair of multi colored polka dot Wellingtons a friend was selling and a cape I scored from K&G for $19.99 :), I was little Red Riding good for a day. It was a gloomy day, with terrible weather so I was make up free, because I didn’t feel like getting all made up, especially when running errands,

Ashley Stewart So I lucked out and found this faux leather midi skirt from Ashley Stewart and tuxedo blazer from Walmart, yep it was 16 bucks, so you bet I got it in every color, the fit is perfect! Material is not the best quality but for the price, I ain’t complaining.
The open toe wedge booties I got from Charlotte Rousse, a by one, get one free sale was going on, did I mention, they are super comfy!

I love love love this skirt!!!!! I initially ordered it a size too big from ASOS, no biggie, I got it tailored to fit perfect! The quality is amazing and the detail is impecable, did I mention it has pockets! I paired it with an old turquoise lace top I’ve had for years and my fav neon pink pumps, that I left in Kenya on my last trip there a couple weeks ago :(. I loved all the pics and couldn’t decide on which to post, so I posted all, hope ya’ll don’t mind.

Calm after the Storm
Time has passed, we have mourned and buried our loved one’s from the devastation that was the #westgateattack.
Most around the world watched in despair as the siege went on for four straight days, citizens and diaspora of Kenya sat at the edge of there seats as they watched terror attack their own.
It is yet amazing how this brought the country together through a massive outpour of support through social media as well as contributions for the victims, Kenyans raised over 30million Kenya shillings in 2 days! How amazing is that?! I logged on to my twitter handle constantly to get details on the siege but was moved by the unity of #KOT (Kenyans on Twitter). They virtually held each other’s hands throughout the whole ordeal and kept hope alive chanting slogans like #weareone and indeed the country stood as one, setting aside tribal and color differences.
As the world watched through various media outlets, they felt our pain and sent messages of support because there own were involved in the attacks and not just Kenyans.
Hopefully the country remains as ONE and the citizens continue to bless each other with positivity as they did through the ordeal, it really showed us what we are capable of as a country in whole.
Oh God of all creation,
Bless this Our land and nation,
Justice be our shield and defender,
May dwell in unity, peace and liberty
Plenty be found within our borders
Below are pics of Diaspora and American friends that wanted to show their support from miles away, we all hurt as one, we are all mankind.
If my brothers in trouble… So am I.
#weareone
As you can see from the pics about, it doesn’t matter where your from, all you need is a Heart
